WASW Gathering - Balance

June 1-3, 2018 in the Catskill Mountains

Overview

Finding a balance between work and play... hard to get a grasp on, no? How do you allow yourself sufficient time to create that thing you visualize - whatever it may be - while also allowing space for relaxation, spontaneity, connection, and the simple act of being? Our August gathering will be based around sharing ideas on how to find time to explore, rest and inspire the inner child amongst a hectic pace of life.

Special Guest

Raquel Hamias is market researcher at Conde Nast for lifestyle brands (Bon AppetitConde Nast TravelerPitchfork, among others), emphasizing creativity and common sense in presenting data. Raquel likes to maintain a creative fire with lots of crafty hobbies, including cooking, watercolors, dance, knitting, and hiking. An avid traveler, you will usually find at least some part of her brain dedicated to planning her next trip. These include faraway and dreamy destinations like Italy, but finding solace in nature, she takes time to hike through the Utah desert, paddle in Maine's rural lakes and camp in Northern California's redwood forests.

*UPDATE* Sign ups are closed for this gathering. Thanks for your interest!

Please register as soon as your can. With only 7-8 spaces available, we will also be putting together an overflow list, which will be used to fill cancelations as well as inspire the potential for further gatherings.

The cost of this gathering is on a sliding scale of $175-$250. This will allow us to purchase high quality, fresh and local ingredients for all meals, treats, activity supplies, firewood and campsites. Please give what you can and don't overextend yourself. We strive to keep the costs of these gatherings as low as possible, but if this price range is outside of your budget, please be in touch.

Note: If you are able to pay $250, you will help someone else participate. Thank you!

APPLICATION FORM

After you donate to the gathering's sliding scale, you will be directed to a questionnaire where we'll ask for a bit more information about your good self.
